1. Overview of Brief:
A garden for a selfless retired nurse and her family who devote all their time to helping others. Having devoted their lives to raising money for critically ill children and their families, the Mitchell family have let their love of gardening take a back seat, therefore this project was all about creating an incredible space where they could all garden, rest and play.

2. Personal Requirements:
Family Brief: To create a beautiful space that all of the extended family could enjoy. Rosie and her husband love to garden and grow vegetables while their daughters need space to relax and the grandchildren require a safe space to play. This project was all about giving something back to someone who has given so much to others.

3. Details of the Plan:
This garden design provides something for each of the three generations of the family. Rosie, who has worked full time as a critical care nurse at Southampton hospital all her life, and her husband love to garden and grow vegetables while their daughters need their own space to relax and the young grandchildren require fun outdoor play equipment. Water features were installed to ensure calm yet safe areas were included. An overall nautical theme was executed throughout to bring their proximity and love of the sea into their back garden. The garden needed to ignite Rosie and her husband’s love of gardening again and go some way towards their dream of being self-sufficient.
