Garden exposure

When looking at making changes to your garden keep in mind that the specific conditions of your garden are likely to create a microclimate based on the amount and length of sun and shade exposure the area receives.

Take a walk around your garden, and you will notice how the temperature varies as you move around from sun to shade, top to bottom of the slope and that some areas are windy while others are more protected, analytically observe your landscape and determine what and where your garden microclimates are located. With this knowledge, you can be sure to put the right plant in the right place.
